POST 91

Hi Folks a blast from the past.  Welcome to now though.
August 3, 2013:  NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has detected a new kind of stellar blast called a kilonova, which happens when a pair of compact objects such as neutron stars crash together.  Hubble observed the fading fireball from a kilonova last month, following a short gamma ray burst (GRB) in a galaxy almost 4 billion light-years from Earth.
"This observation finally solves the mystery of short gamma ray bursts," says Nial Tanvir of the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom, who led a team of researchers conducting this research.
This sequence illustrates the kilonova model for the formation of a short-duration gamma-ray burst. 1. A pair of neutron stars in a binary system spiral together. 2. In the final milliseconds, as the two objects merge, they kick out highly radioactive material. This material heats up and expands, emitting a burst of light called a kilonova. 3. The fading fireball blocks visible light but radiates in infrared light. 4. A remnant disk of debris surrounds the merged object, which may have collapsed to form a black hole.  (More info from .nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2013/03aug_kilonova/ )

Explanation: What it would look like to leave planet Earth? Such an event was recorded visually in great detail by the MESSENGER spacecraft as it swung back past the Earth, eight years ago, on its way in toward the planet Mercury. Earth can be seen rotating in this time-lapse video, as it recedes into the distance. The sunlit half of Earth is so bright that background stars are not visible. The robotic MESSENGER spacecraft is now in orbit around Mercury and has recently concluded the first complete map of the surface. On occasion, MESSENGER has continued to peer back at its home world. MESSENGER is one of the few things created on the Earth that has left and will never return -- at the end of its mission MESSENGER will be crashed into Mercury's surface. (http://apod.nasa.gov/apod/  Thanks)
Often I have heard astrologers comment on Mercury and say when it is retrograde communications go awry and all sorts of electronic anomalies arise. I hope Mercury will not do a number on us when the craft crashes into its atmosphere at the end of its mission!!!.
This young lady is brilliant.  First few minutes are sound fuzzy.

Now here's a thing. Get your head round this baffling trick.  Wonderful.

Health Tip of the Week - Help for Degenerative Nerve Diseases

If you suffer from a degenerative nerve disease such as Parkinson's, MS, or Huntington's Disease, juicing veggies could be an answer. Failure of cell mitochondrial function is a big contributor to this condition. Every cell in the body has a little 'biological spark-plug' called mitochondria. These mitochondria are responsible for enabling the cell to process oxygen properly and to supply energy fuel in the form of ATP for all biological-chemical processes. Restoration of this function by supplying specifc enzymes to restore mitochondrial function has proved effective in reducing the symptoms of Parkinson's disease.  Raw foods such as salads and veggie plus raw juices can be very helpful because they are rich in biophotons--the light rays of energy plants absorb from the sun. BIophotons feed the mitochondria. I would recommend that you drink 3-4 glasses of veggie juice per day

There is a You Tube one of this it seems to come to a differing one.
The power, reach and influence of the Central Intelligence Agency is a staple of conspiracy theories.
The news that the CIA is reportedly part-funding a scientific geoengineering study into how to control the weather is unlikely to dampen speculation over their activities.
According to US website 'Mother Jones' the CIA is helping fund a study by the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) that will investigate whether humans could use geoengineering - which is defined as deliberate and large-scale intervention in the Earth's climatic system - to stop climate change.
The NAS website describes the study as an investigation into "a limited number of proposed geoengineering techniques, including examples of both solar radiation management (SRM) and carbon dioxide removal (CDR) techniques."
The purpose of this is to comment "generally on the potential impacts of deploying these technologies, including possible environmental, economic, and national security concerns", the website claims.
Solar radiation management (SRM) is a theoretical branch of geoengineering which moots the idea of reflecting sunlight in an attempt to block infrared radiation and halt rising temperatures.
The cost of the project is reported to be $630,000, which NAS is splitting with the CIA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and NASA reports say.
A reference on the NAS website to "the US intelligence community" funding the project refers to the CIA, an NAS spokesman claimed.
Much speculation has surrounded claims that the US government has long been involved in types of weather manipulation, including a much-discussed attempt to cloud-seed - the process of dispersing substances into the air to create cloud condensation or ice nuclei and subsequently rain or snow - during the Vietnam war.
It was also widely reported that the Chinese government seeded clouds ahead of the 2008 Olympics opening ceremony to create a downpour elsewhere and keep the stadium dry by firing iodide crystals into rain clouds over Beijing.
Weather manipulation was most recently in the news after claims by some American commentators that devastating tornadoes in Oklahoma, along with other extreme weather events like Hurricane Sandy, were created by the US government using the Haarp antenna farm in Alaska.
A CIA spokesman refused to comment on the NAS study but told Mother Jones: "It's natural that on a subject like climate change the Agency would work with scientists to better understand the phenomenon and its implications on national security."
BOY OF FIVE BEGS SOLDIERS NOT TO TAKE HIS  PALESTINIAN FATHER  AWAY.
THE ISRAELI SOLDIERS DO THIS A LOT AND ALMOST DAILY.  I CRIED FOR TEN MINUTES AND SOBBED AND WAS ON MY KNEES AND I COULD HEAR THAT CHILD SCREAM ALL DAY. OH DEAR GOD WHAT HAVE WE COME TOO.
It was the hottest week of the year. All Fadel Jaber wanted was some water for his family. But Fadel lives in the occupied West Bank, where the Israeli government has redirected water pipes to provide swimming pools for Jewish settlers and empty faucets for Palestinians like Fadel.
When the Israeli forces dragged Fadel off for taking water, his heartbroken five-year-old son Khaled could be heard screaming “baba, baba!” as his dad was torn away. This is daily life for Palestinians living under the brutal fist of martial law where their land and water has been stolen by settlers and they have no basic human rights. But after years of violence and hopelessness, a movement is growing in Palestine -- a nonviolent resistance seeking the same thing that all Israelis already have: freedom, dignity and a state of their own.
For years, the media has focused on Palestinian militants, and to this day, extremists on both sides are pushing peace further out of reach. But what’s lost in all that vitriol are the loving families like Fadel’s that just want a normal life. Now, those families are stepping forward, leading peaceful marches, organizing sit-ins, and working with Israeli activists to seek justice and freedom. In response, the Israeli military has thrown them in jail, beaten up organisers, and ripped children from their beds. {Can you begin to imagine the impact on this beautiful child and all the other beautiful kids. This can fuel revenge, suicide bombers or damage them irreparably. I get so frustrated by this insensitivity and lack of human dignity by soldiers and brutal political authorities}.

  • Jenny McCarthy was recently called a “blonde idiot” and “a threat to the survival of mankind” in mainstream media article for speaking out about her son’s vaccine reaction, as ABC TV executives back Barbara Walter’s hire of McCarthy for daytime talk show "The View"
  • Medical literature spanning a century documents the fact that vaccines can cause: brain inflammation, chronic nervous system dysfunction, seizures, arthritis, vaccine strain viral infection, shock and “unusual shock-like state,” and death
  • Recently published medical literature points out there is insufficient evidence to determine whether the current recommended schedule of 49 doses of 14 vaccines between day of birth and age six is or is not associated with the development of serious health problems in children, including learning disabilities, asthma, epilepsy and autism
  • One out of every six American children is learning disabled, 1 in 9 has asthma, 1 in 50 develops autism
  • There has never been a large, well-designed study comparing the health outcomes of highly vaccinated children and those remaining unvaccinated or using fewer vaccines
·         Genetic modification interferes fundamentally with the naturally-occurring genetic modifications that organisms undergo in order to survive
·         An organism’s genome is not static but fluid, and its biological functions are interconnected with its environment and vice versa, such that trying to control genetic changes via artificial modification is a dangerous game.
·         Compared with natural genetic modification, artificial genetic modification is inherently hazardous because it lacks the precision of the natural process, while enabling genes to be transferred between species that would never have been exchanged otherwise

·         Artificial genetic modification uses horizontal gene transfer, which involves injecting a gene from one species into a completely different species; this yields unexpected and often unpredictable results, including the transfer of GM genes to humans

Condolences to their parents, relatives and friends.  Tragedy can befall us in strange and mysterious ways.
Connor and Noah Barth are believed to have been strangled in their sleep by an African rock python
Python sebae, commonly known as the African rock python, is a large, nonvenomous snake of Sub-Saharan Africa. The African rock python is one of seven species in the genus Python. It has two subspecies: one found in Central and Western Africa, the other inSouthern Africa.
Africa's largest snake, specimens may approach or exceed 6 m (20 ft). The southern subspecies is generally smaller than its northern relative. The snake is found in a variety of habitats, from forests to near deserts, although usually near sources of water. The African rock python kills its prey by constriction and often eats animals up to the size of antelope, occasionally even crocodiles. The snake reproduces by egg-laying. Unlike most snakes, the female will protect her nest and sometimes even her hatchlings.

The snake is widely feared even though it only very rarely kills humans. Although the snake is not endangered, it does face threats from habitat reduction and hunting.
There are many human stranglers.  Strangled by austerity measures, abuse, weather and environmental pollution, our skies darkened and strangled, our food contaminated.  The snake in the grass does its natural thing, the human serpents are a breed of their own.
Let us hope that the human snakes will shed their evil skins and be reborn into the natural caring that awakened human beings have in common.
Take great care of your lovely selves. Geoff

CIA ADMIT IRANIAN OVERTHROW. 5 mins.
60 years to the day after Iranian Prime Minister Mohammed Mossadeq was ousted in a coup d'etat, the CIA has finally admitted that it organised the action alongside the British Secret Intelligence Service. The US and UK conspired to have the democratically elected Mossadeq replaced with General Fazlollah Zahedi in order to strengthen the position of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. The Shah went on to repress political opposition and used his US-trained secret police service, SAVAK, to brutally crackdown on suspected dissidents.

  • Migraine is one of the most common health conditions in the world—more prevalent than diabetes, epilepsy and asthma combined. An estimated 13 percent of the world’s population suffer with migraines
  • An observational study recently found that people who get migraines have a different blood vessel structure in their brains compared to those who do not get migraines, causing greater asymmetry in hemispheric cerebral blood flow
  • Environmental factors appear to play a significant role in triggering a migraine attack. This includes certain foods and drinks, hormonal changes, stress, external stimuli like scents or lights, dehydration and changes in sleep cycle
  • Both aspartame and MSG are notorious for causing headaches and triggering migraines. Aspartame can also trigger other neurological symptom such as visual disturbances and tingling in the extremities
  • Preventing migraines begins by avoiding the triggers. Most often this means eating healthy whole foods (avoiding most processed ones) and managing your stress effectively. Following my eating plan seems to reduce migraines by about 80 percent {GO TO MERCOLA.COM  for more information}
  • “Fast Food, Fat Profits” explores the complex reasons why so many Americans are overweight and sick – and it largely boils down to an overreliance on cheap, highly processed food
  • Many on the most limited food budgets, such as those who receive food assistance dollars, live in "food deserts" – areas without grocery stores, and perhaps only a convenience store or a fast-food restaurant where they can purchase their food
  • The food system is very much stacked against healthy eating … and healthy people, instead promoting obesity, heart disease and diabetes through a diet reliant on high fructose corn syrup, sugar, soy, corn and grains
  • There’s a revolving door between the food industry and the government, with some government officials working for the very food companies they are supposed to be regulating
  • Avoiding processed food requires a change in mindset, which is not always an easy task, but it can be done
  • In the documentary Fast Food Baby, three families struggle with feeding their kids an unhealthy diet and start the journey toward healthier eating
  • Many diseases that once only plagued middle-aged or older adults, including obesity, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and even liver disease, are now plaguing kids, largely due to poor diet
  • The best time to shape your kids' eating habits is while they're still young, as kids learn very quickly to prefer certain tastes and textures, and these can last a lifetime.
  • Offering healthy foods to your children regularly is one of the most important parenting decisions you can make; and remember that it can take up to 15 ‘exposures’ before your child accepts a new healthy food

Molotov cocktails, civil disobedience and middle-class furor: Fracking protests hit Europe

LONDON -- Threats to use Molotov cocktails in Poland, a civil disobedience workshop in affluent rural England, and an Irish farmer with a sick child moved to become an eco-campaigner: these are just some of the ways in which Europeans have responded to the expansion of a much-debated oil industry practice.
Fracking has long been the source of heated debate in Pennsylvania and the controversy is now exploding in Europe, fueled by horror stories from across the Atlantic.
It is a debate that has created some unlikely alliances: The usual suspects of environmental campaigning have been joined by farmers and inhabitants of the so-called "stockbroker belt" concerned about house prices and “the industrialization of the countryside.”
There are even suggestions that Russian money has been financing anti-fracking groups in Bulgaria – to help keep prices for its gas exports high.
The U.K. has become the latest front line for fracking after the British government lifted a ban imposed when the procedure was linked to a series of earthquakes in northwest England.
For some, fracking – a process that involves forcing water and chemicals into the ground to shatter rocks like shale and release natural gas trapped inside – poses a risk to water supplies, causes air pollution and flies in the face of the fight against climate change, worse even than coal.
But supporters of the process say it is safe, has been carried out for decades largely without problems, and could actually help reduce carbon emissions.
Chris Peters, of the No Dash for Gas campaign group, took part in a five-day protest last week against exploratory drilling that might eventually lead to fracking at a site near the village of Balcombe, Sussex, in rural England.
He said the camp held workshops in “methods of civil disobedience, direct action and various campaign strategies” and attracted about 1,000 people, including some from Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Poland.
Peters said his main problem with fracking was that it was an attempt to get “the last dregs of the barrel” of fossil fuels “when really we need to be looking at clean, renewable sources for energy.”
“The primary sources of oil and coal and gas are running out, so companies are looking to these more extreme, more risky methods,” he said, citing oil exploration in the Arcticexploitation of Canada’s tar sands as well as fracking.
“It (fracking) has sort of really come to the attention now in the U.K. … With this camp it’s become a very controversial issue,” he added. “We’ve all been working together. There’s an expectation that a lot is going to emerge from this campaign.”
The Balcombe protest – a smaller camp of mainly local people remains – was undeniably controversial. The right-leaning Daily Mail newspaper put the story on its front page with the headline “Police cave in to mob rule over fracking” after drilling was temporarily halted at the site following advice from police.
A total of 29 people were arrested at Balcombe on Monday, including the U.K.’s only Green Party lawmaker, Caroline Lucas.
Polish filmmaker Lech Kowalski was also at the camp to make a follow-up to his film “Drill Baby Drill,” which tells the story of the fracking experiences of farmers in Poland and Pennsylvania.
He said the protest at Balcombe, where oil firm trucks have been able to access the site, was tame by Polish standards.
Farmers at a Chevron site near Zurawlow have “totally blocked the entrances and they are hold fast there to the point they were prepared to throw Molotov cocktails,” he said.
Kowalsi said the Polish farmers’ families had lived there for generations.
“These farmers had to survive the Soviet period, the Communist period and the Nazis,” he said. “They look at themselves as partisans fighting for the land.”
Kowalski said he thought the anti-fracking campaign was beginning to snowball, noting the presence at Balcombe of “middle-class people who work in London, the kind of people who probably never considered protesting about anything.”
Eddie Mitchell, a farmer and builder in Manorhamilton, northwest Ireland, said he feared fracking was about to be introduced into Ireland with hardly any public debate.
“We’re opposed [to fracking] because the main reason is that we know that it’s dangerous from America,” he said. “The personal testimony from people in America seems to be there’s a lot of concern.”
“I have a child who has a heart problem. We understand the value of health. We’re not going to allow our children to be put at risk,” he said. “When you think about the risk for our children and the way the project is being driven, then you just have to stand your ground.”
Mitchell, a leading member of anti-fracking group Good Energies Alliance Ireland and a local official for the center-right Fine Gael party, said many people did not understand just how severe “the industrialization of the landscape” could become if widespread fracking was allowed.
He claimed people in exploited areas of the countryside could potentially find themselves no more than about 800 yards from four drilling “pads” each several acres in size.
Richard Davies, professor of energy at Durham University who previously worked for major oil companies, said there was always a “small level of risk” in the energy industry.
But he said the fracking process was “very unlikely” to cause water contamination and said it had been linked to just three man-made earthquakes out of 198 since 1929 despite “hundreds of thousands of fracking operations.”
Davies said some problems in the U.S. had been caused by “a small percentage of wells” that were leaking because they had not been sealed properly.
“The way that fracking could contribute to contamination is not the fracking process,” he said. “It’s the drilling process.”

The Independent published an article entitled "World's top sweetener is made with GM bacteria," which revealed that Monsanto was knowingly adding aspartame to soft drinks in the United States - and that aspartame is made from GM bacteria. This report, which remains one of the earliest disclosures on aspartame in a mainstream newspaper, received little attention after its publication - possibly because its implications were underestimated at the time - and it has long been forgotten.
Since 1999, the world has become a little more attentive to Monsanto and aspartame, but ignorance still abounds about the latter's genesis. While more and more people are starting to awaken to aspartame's destructive effects on our health, do they know how it is actually made? Fortunately, a 1981 patent for aspartame production, once confined to the drawers of patent offices, is now available online for everyone to see - and it confirms everything that Monsanto was happy to tell us in 1999 before their meteoric growth necessitated greater prudence.

                    The production process

The patent, which is entitled Process for producing aspartame and is credited to Bahl, Rose, and White, summarizes the process as follows:
"The artificial sweetener aspartame, a dipeptide with the formula Asp-Phe-me, is produced using a cloned micrcorganism [sic]. A DNA which codes for a large stable peptide comprised of the repeating amino acid sequence (Asp-Phe)n is inserted into a cloning vehicle which in turn is introduced into a suitable host microorganism. The host microorganism is cultured and the large peptide containing the repeating Asp-Phe sequence is harvested therefrom. The free carboxyl group of the large peptide is benzylated and then hydrolysed to benzyl Asp-Phe dipeptides. This dipeptide is methylated and then debenzylated to form aspartame."
This scientific jargon obfuscates (perhaps deliberately) a truly disturbing process:
1.) 'Cloned microorganisms' (which the patent later reveals to be genetically modified E. coli) are cultivated in tanks whose environments are tailored to help them thrive.
2.) The well-fed E. coli cultures defecate the proteins that contain the aspartic acid-phenylalanine amino acid segment needed to make aspartame.
3.) The proteins containing the Asp-Phe segments are 'harvested' (i.e. lab assistants collect the bacteria's feces).
4.) The feces are then treated. This includes a process of methylation (adding an excess of the toxic alcohol, methanol, to the protected dipeptide).
While common sense dictates that this abomination doesn't belong anywhere near our bodies, the patent's authors made no secret about their belief that aspartame constitutes a safe and nutritious sweetener:
"Aspartame is not only sweeter than sucrose, but is preferable as a food to sucrose. While sucrose can provide the body with little more than energy, aspartame is composed of amino acids, the building blocks of body proteins, and like other proteins is broken down by the digestive enzymes in the stomach to its constituent amino acids thus providing nutritive value. [...] For these reasons, aspartame holds significant promise in replacing sugar as a sweetener.
So there we have it: An official document that not only reveals the shocking truth behind aspartame production, but also freely admits that it was intended for mass consumption as a sucrose substitute. Therefore, the next time someone claims that your reservations about this sweetener are unfounded, direct them to this patent - the truth behind aspartame is now in plain view.

Where are we in this vast majestic scenario, not the planet we the I, me?
Explanation: What would it look like to fly through the distant universe? To find out, a team of astronomers estimated the relative distances to over 5,000 galaxies in one of the most distant fields of galaxies ever imaged: the Hubble Ultra Deep Field (HUDF). Because it takes light a long time to cross the universe, most galaxies visible in the above video are seen when the universe was only a fraction of its current age, were still forming, and have unusual shapes when compared to modern galaxies. No mature looking spiral galaxies such as our Milky Way or the Andromeda galaxy yet exist. Toward the end of the video the virtual observer flies past the furthest galaxies in the HUDF field, recorded to have a redshift past 8. This early class of low luminosity galaxies likely contained energetic stars emitting light that transformedmuch of the remaining normal matter in the universe from a cold gas to a hot ionized plasma.
