It would be a hope indeed if our politicians and industrial leaders found a little compassion and dare I say it love.

 The above video is in my view brilliant.  People voted against the system and the system found a way of fooling them and have a President Elect in the same old same old way.  Let us hope that the elections in Europe in 2017 do not just reflect a protest vote against tyranny and lust for power dictatorship and the same old bed partners under a different guise.  Like Brexit I could not decide between two opposites that say the same thing in different ways.  A Chinese proverb comes to mind 'if you cannot decide between two things, do the third'
Maybe as the Buddhists say the Middle Way, perhaps by that meditation.  Perhaps if many minds went quiet for a while and felt the inner peace away from all this hype and cacophony we could see and perceive the madness and chaos of this world.

What comes clear to me is that if Trump becomes as the video above about Liberty suggests just another same old same old then people will have no alternative and become more despondent and rebel or become so introverted and depressed that suicide and violence will ensue.  Let us hope they will take up things like Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Yoga, Meditation, growing their own produce, art, self growth and enacting out their fears and violence in Drama in therapy and such like.

Antidepressants aren’t working for more than half the people suffering from severe and chronic depression—but a yogic breathing technique seems to be doing what the drugs can’t, a new study has discovered.

Sudarshan Kriya yoga is reversing many of the symptoms of depression, such as negative mood, disinterest, low energy, suicidal thoughts and feelings of guilt.
It’s a significant discovery, say researchers at the University of Pennsylvania, as more than half the 41 million Americans taking antidepressants aren’t being helped by the drugs.
The technique involves slow and calm breaths that are alternated by fast breaths, and which brings the person into a deep and calm meditative state.
It’s easy to learn and practise, say the researchers who tested it on a group of 25 people who had been diagnosed with major depressive disorder (MDD), and who hadn’t been helped by antidepressants. Half were taught Sudarshan Kriya yoga, which they practised regularly at home for two months, while the rest just carried on taking the antidepressants.
By the end of the trial, the yoga group showed ‘significant’ improvements and halved their HDRS (Hamilton Depression Rating Scale) score, a common measure of depressive symptoms. Those just taking the drugs saw no improvement in their score.

Pranayama
Prāṇāyāma (Sanskrit: प्राणायाम prāṇāyāma) is a Sanskrit word alternatively translated as "extension of the prāṇa (breath or life force)" or "breath control." The word is composed from two Sanskrit words: prana meaning life force (noted particularly as the breath), and either yama (to restrain or control the prana, implying a set of breathing techniques where the breath is intentionally altered in order to produce specific results) or the negative form ayāma, meaning to extend or draw out (as in extension of the life force). It is a yogic discipline with origins in ancient India.

 Apologies if I seem picky when I was taught Panayama it was always alternate nostril breathing sometimes with a pause and using fingers to block nostril and then alternate, however this maybe a variation I was told not to do it quickly, however I do agree with the benefits.

Call me sentimental I like this version by Randy Crawford.  There is something haunting in this, for me from a early   age when ever I felt lonely or threatened, abandoned and so on, I had a dysfunctional childhood, fortunately for me I had the guidance from meditation and wise mentors.  

I knew from my NDE.  I always felt that there was something beyond human Love or indeed love for something, something precious in the human psyche, the heart, the essence, and a burning desire to find it.  As in the song 'what more can love do to me, when will love be through with me? One of my great mentors said 'love burns, it is is not just a calm energy, it is a fire, a purification, it burns out, cleanses and purifys, it is not human, but Cosmic' so this love will be through with me when my human understanding of love transcends, alchem-ises, transmutes into Cosmic Love, the love of the Pure White Spirit / light'.

 that there is a 'place' a heaven, not in the classic sense.  That feeling when out of my body, the light, the space and freedom always searching for it and then getting tantalizing glimpses of it in meditation and sometimes spontaneously in which I call it  a gift, grace a touch of heaven.

I have had the love of my dear Mother and several girlfriends and Gill who I married at Findhorn, yet nothing loved me as much as those moments of Grace. Tears would flow, a smile as big as my whole face, every part of me felt warm, whole, relaxed and loved. I felt one with the all and all. It was beyond orgasm, ecstasy and into an expression from the Bible 'peace beyond all understanding'.

There has always been the burning, yes a real felt burning, not so much physical or even 'brain psyche' burning but a driving inexplicable 'energy / force' luring me on to seek the source of the burning, an invitation to surrender to the Unknown.

The Sirens were beautiful but dangerous creatures that lured the sailors with their beautiful voices to their doom, causing the ships to crash on the reefs near their island. They were the daughters of the river god Achelous, while their mother may have been Terpsichore, Melpomene, Sterope or Chthon. Although closely linked to marine environments, they were not considered sea deities. The texts mentioning the Sirens provide different opinions as to their number and their names; some mention two or three; others mention more.
The Sirens were probably considered the companions of Persephone, daughter of goddess Demeter. The latter had given them wings in order to protect her daughter; however, after Persephone's abduction from Hades, Demeter cursed them. The Sirens' song was a beautiful, yet sad melody, eternally calling for Persephone's return.
The Argonauts encountered the Sirens but successfully evaded them; Orpheus, who was on board, started playing his lyre so beautifully that the music completely drowned the Sirens' song. Another well-known encounter is that described in the Odyssey; Odysseus, advised by Circe, plugged the crew's ears with wax and ordered them to bind him on the mast of the ship. He also told them that no matter how much he begged, they should not untie him. When they passed near the Sirens' island, Odysseus started begging his shipmates to let him go, but none heard him; instead, they tied him even more. After they passed, Odysseus let them know that they were now in safe water

Dear Billy Williams was my boss for some years in the Met Home Office and like most sailors he would tell a yarn or two.

He told me at night several of the crew would hear the sound of the whales and with ship gently rolling in calm seas and especially on a moonlit night it was enchanting and some went into a kind of reverie.  Dreams of perhaps of love ones at home or a dream girl.The wonderful moonlight in the ripples of the sea.

Anyway call me deluded, I have this allurement and not for a relationship with a human but with a passion to find the source of the Grace and be one with it, perhaps it is not possible and maybe one has to leave the body.  I have heard of others who have and had this burning desire for God, The Source, The Infinite Eternal Being.
