Dr,
No warning. No manager. No appeal.
Just an AI that decided you spent too long in the bathroom – and automatically terminated your contract.
This isn't a Sci-Fi movie. Nearly half of all workers in the EU are subject to algorithmic management in the workplace.
Right now, five EU Commissioners are meeting behind closed doors to decide whether this continues, or gets banned. Our sources confirm three of them — Roxana Mînzatu, Henna Virkkunen, and Ursula von der Leyen — are still undecided.
Corporate lobbyists are already in the room. We need to show them that thousands of us are watching before the vote closes.
Sign the petition: Tell the EU Commission to ban AI boss-spying and protect European workers now!
This isn't just about privacy; it’s a full-blown health and civil rights crisis. Studies show that being managed by an algorithm spikes stress levels, destroys mental health, and leads to severe burnout. Worse, these AI tools are deeply biased—Black, Asian, women, and LGBT+ workers are twice as likely to be targeted and punished by these broken surveillance systems.
This isn't efficiency. It's a system designed to extract maximum labor from human beings by treating them like machines, and then discarding them when an algorithm says so.
The fix is straightforward: a universal law requiring a human to make every employment decision. No exceptions. No loopholes.
The companies fighting this bill are spending millions to water it down. We have weeks, not months, to outweigh them.
Add your name to demand a comprehensive, pro-worker AI law before the closed-door meetings end.

Please read in my article/ blog of Monday 21 September 2020 ' Welcome to Smart City' in this you will read what happened to my cousins visit. The actual bathroom incidence mentioned in the appeal above happened to my cousin in a similar way.
Edward Snowden defected because of this very issue I have mentioned this just recently but perhaps you will not mind if I remind you again;
The midterms elections in the USA will I feel be crucial because the tensions with the rising price of oil and especialy diesel and the mumblings about President Trumps and Putin deal to release some of the sanctions on Russian oil and yet Mr Trumps threat to santion any BRIC'S country that he feels is strenghening this BRIC alignment a sort of difficult chess thing type going on. Then the growing coperation with Russia and the African states. We still see war between Russia and Ukraine and the growing war with Suadi Arabia and the Iran aligned Yemen Houthi. That old phrase 'Peace in our Time' seems a far off cry and or reality. Then we have the elections in Israel and whether President Netanyahu gets in at this time of writng its ooks like a 50/ 50 result and compromises may have to be made and perhaps a solution fromthis and hopefully some solution for the Palestinian and Gaza issues will be forthcoming.
