carrying global Internet traffic and telephone calls, The Guardian said on Saturday citing documents disclosed by rogue US intelligence technician Ed Snowden.The latest claims sparked fresh outcry from privacy campaigners and surfaced as the United States filed espionage charges against 30-year-old Snowden and asked Hong Kong -- where he has fled to -- to detain him.The Guardian said Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) has started processing vast amounts of personal information -- including Facebook posts, emails, Internet histories and phonecalls -- and is sharing it with its US partner the National Security Agency (NSA).GCHQ added however that it was "scrupulous" in its compliance with the law.The newspaper reported that GCHQ was able to tap into and store data from the cables for up to 30 days."It's not just a US problem. The UK has a huge dog in this fight," Snowden told the newspaper."They (GCHQ) are worse than the US."Snowden, who fled to Hong Kong in May, has since proceeded to leak details of secret US intelligence programmes to international media outlets.The Guardian claimed Tempora had been running for 18 months and GCHQ and the NSA were able to access vast quantities of communications between entirely innocent people.It also claimed that the intelligence-gathering directly led to the arrest and jailing of a British terror cell, the arrests of others planning acts of terror, and three London-based people planning attacks prior to the city's 2012 Olympic Games.The Guardian said the documents it had seen showed that by last year, GCHQ was handling 600 million "telephone events" each day, had tapped more than 200 fibre-optic cables and was able to process data from at least 46 of them at a time.The two main components of GCHQ's surveillance programme are called "Mastering the Internet" and "Global Telecoms Exploitation", the daily said, adding that the operations were all being carried out "without any form of public acknowledgement or debate".Shami Chakrabhati, director of human rights group Liberty, expressed shock at the latest revelations."I'm shocked -- but not surprised. Clearly they (GCHQ) are exploiting the fact that the Internet is so international in nature," Chakrabarti told the BBC."And I'm pretty sad in a democracy when all that appears to be holding back the secret state is its physical and technological capability and not its ethics or a tight interpretation and application of the law."Nick Pickes, the director of privacy campaign group Big Brother Watch, added: "This appears to be dangerously close to, if not exactly, the centralised database of all our Internet communications, including some content, that successive governments have ruled out and parliament has never legislated for."If GCHQ have been intercepting huge numbers of innocent people's communications as part of a massive sweeping exercise, then I struggle to see how that squares with a process that requires a warrant for each individual intercept. This question must be urgently addressed in parliament."But the chairman of parliament's intelligence and security committee, Malcolm Rifkind, said that all agencies like GCHQ used the latest technology to gain intelligence."What all intelligence agencies do, not just in Britain but throughout the world ... is to obtain intelligence and they use the most modern technology in order to do that," he told the BBC."The crucial question is not how much data could they theoretically collect but what can they get access to -- is it an intrusion on the privacy of the citizens."If GCHQ wants to know the content of your or my email, they have to go through exactly the same legal procedure of getting a warrant from the secretary of state, regardless of whether they are going to intercept the emails themselves, or whether they are going to ask the NSA or someone else to do it."'authorities have gotten so used to lying, deceitnA GCHQ spokeswoman said: "We do not comment on intelligence matters. Our intelligence agencies continue to adhere to a rigorous legal compliance regime."GCHQ are scrupulous in their legal compliance."
I do not object to identified individuals being snooped on. Unfortunately there is system where key words are picked up and flagged and as to this statement 'GCHQ added however that it was "scrupulous" in its compliance with the law.' that itself is a ludicrous misleading statement, we have seen the Dr Kelly case, the tube and bus train bombings, the GM, fluoride, bee chemical nil vote, that UK Monsanto cannot be trusted, the bankers robbing families and causing austerity measures, the list is endless.

AS long as we come out smelling clean. They did in biblical times, now it is more' sophisticated and technologically facilitated.
Police are hunting for a man who broke a two-year-old boy's collarbone at a railway station in what has been described as a racist attack.
The incident occurred on Sunday, when the 30-year-old mum was on a train from Walthamstow to Chingford. A man who boarded the train at the same time as her at Walthamstow Central began to abuse her for having a mixed race child.
When the woman got off the train at Highams Park, the man followed her, grabbed her by the hair and pulled her to the ground, tipping over the toddler's pushchair.
The little boy was left with a broken collarbone after the sickening attack.
Police say they are appealing for witnesses to the assault and are looking for a black man in his 40s of slim build and about 5ft 10inches tall. He was said to be wearing a beanie hat with fake plaited hair underneath.
The East London Guardian reports that the mum was unharmed in the attack, and her little boy has since been discharged from hospital.( How about a moral compass here)

Dear Secretary of State,
My friend, who is in farming at the moment, recently
received a cheque for £3,000 from the Rural Payments Agency for not rearing
pigs. I would now like to join the “not rearing pigs” business.
In your opinion, what is the best kind of farm not to rear
pigs on, and which is the best breed of pigs not to rear? I want to be sure I
approach this endeavour in keeping with all government policies, as dictated by
the EU under the Common Agricultural Policy.
I would prefer not to rear bacon pigs, but if this is not
the type you want not rearing, I will just as gladly not rear porkers. Are there
any advantages in not rearing rare breeds such as Saddlebacks or Gloucester Old
Spots, or are there too many people already not rearing these?
As I see it, the hardest part of this programme will be
keeping an accurate record of how many pigs I haven’t reared. Are there any
Government or Local Authority courses on this?
My friend is very satisfied with this business. He has been
rearing pigs for forty years or so, and the best he ever made on them was
£1,422 in 1968. That is – until this year, when he received a cheque for not
rearing any.
If I get £3,000 for not rearing 50 pigs, will I get £6,000
for not rearing 100?
I plan to operate on a small scale at first, holding myself
down to about 4,000 pigs not raised, which will mean about £240,000 for the
first year. As I become more expert in not rearing pigs, I plan to be more
ambitious, perhaps increasing to, say, 40,000 pigs not reared in my second
year, for which I should expect about £2.4 million from your department.
Incidentally, I wonder if I would be eligible to receive tradable carbon
credits for all these pigs not producing harmful and polluting methane gases?
Another point: These pigs that I plan not to rear will not
eat 2,000 tonnes of cereals. I understand that you also pay farmers for not
growing crops. Will I qualify for payments for not growing cereals to not feed
the pigs I don’t rear?
I am also considering the “not milking cows” business, so
please send any information you have on that too. Please could you also include
the current Defra advice on set aside fields? Can this be done on an e-commerce
basis with virtual fields (of which I seem to have several thousand hectares)?
In view of the above you will realise that I will be totally
unemployed, and will therefore qualify for unemployment benefits.
I shall of course be voting for your party at the next
general election.

Can you ever trust any government, yes to some extent, because the government we see and hear on the news is only the polished veneer covering the 'the secret back room boys' who are the middle people who broker and plan for the 'most secret government' the faceless, anonymous ones who run the world.
Probably most politicians start off as decent people, like doctors, lawyers, bankers and so forth. I have seen the decline in many top people who suddenly realise you toe the line, if you cross it, the consequences are horrendous. I have seen local government counsellors get into power and become corrupt. Several told me 'we were leant upon by a kind of local Mafioso, business men, those connected to central government, you either fight it and get smeared, you resign, or you join the game, it does prick your conscience'. I've seen this in every walk of life. It takes real guts, conviction to be a Julian Assange, Bradley Manning, Edward Snowden and many others. They are fighting for you and me, the least we can do is support them

As you probably know there are a number of words in every language that catch the 'ear and eye' of the nosy eavesdroppers. It red flag alerts and starts the computer rolling and a greasy slob listens to it and then gets his/ her unwashed dirty minded boss to start a surveillance on the innocent individual. See again Naked Citizen. They will look into everything to get their 'man'.They feel so proud of their power, their petty lives uplifted by bullying a person, they probably had a miserable childhood and were bullied, abused and so they join this and justify it by saying we save the public from drug dealers, child molesters and terrorists, whereas statistics have shown very few are caught this way, its usually local police getting intelligence from their snouts(slang for informers) {snout is also the term for noses of animals with a great sense of smell} many snouts get paid for their information
I'll give you an example. I publish this blog and those in energygrid. The lack of self worth of these snooper get their satisfaction and sexual thrills and attention from a deprived moral compass from becoming snoopers, who reading this at some basement or computer air conditioned converted toilet, probably known to those who know as the cesspit. They listen to a conversation red flagged and I have said to a friend 'I've just come back from Brussels and made a bomb'. In this case as you know I use slang words AND BOMB means in slang 'a lot of money'. Because they do not like me and what I blog, they cut out the words, edit out 'I've just come from Brussels and leave the rest'. Because I have not kept a record of this conversation and use this phrase frequently, they will dig into my past, edit what I have said, blogged and bring a case against me, they did it years back, I went to court and won, they never have forgiven me, this was not in words, but a trumped up charge of me driving in London and soliciting for sex, two police officers had to resign over this, they were made scapegoats(patsy's) as was I. I had many witnesses and they lost. This was a local police operation flagged to get me. I was not writing blogs then, but it entailed the police getting involved from a higher authority, guess who that was?
So these falsely happy 'get a life' snoopers report back to their pompous small minded jumped up 'look at me I am doing a great job for Queen and country, even if I destroy innocent lives, after all my salary will increase and I get promotion and decorated for being a zealous and loyal bottom licker'. Not one of you have done a decent days work in your University educated lives.
You are probably sneering and think you have made me angry and got me 'going' as they say, you know what you've got that wrong as well.

I love being a stalker, a voyeur, after all I would be imprisoned if I did it for real outside, I work for GCHQ or other private outsourced contractors I can satisfy all my psychological quirks and aberrations, its a job for all sickie's like me, and well paid too. Genuine immigrants do contribute greatly, however, I watched a TV programme on Thursday nights 'Question Time' and the ministers had no idea if immigrants were terrorists, had the same documents as their name said or were they an imposter, and duplicate for a person paid to come in. So you see they compound the problem and need this surveillance to a point because they cannot cope. In fact they encourage the illegality of immigrants as an excuse to use surveillance.
When you get to the point you cannot cope, you suspect everyone everywhere. Cheap labour has backfired, the EU and loss of border control has backfired. This leads to a drain on the economy, the animosity, because of language and cultural differences, enclaves are formed and it becomes them against us. The police and social services are caught in the middle, the government wanting to seem fair and democratic becomes confused so knee jerk draconian methods are employed and this merely exacerbates the problem. The solution. Scrap the lot and start again. That takes courage, and of course the bilderbugs want this unrest, caused it, after all divide and conquer, right up their street. Whilst Presidents, Prime Ministers, Kings and Queens, lap it up and their minions the bankers, lawyers, stock brokers, big corporations laugh, giggle and live it up, while the snooper pauper servants do the dirty work and are fooled they are loyal and doing a worthy vocation.
