POST 55

Hello and Welcome.
In the English language when we are unsure where a person is coming from in the sense their agenda, or hidden 'tricks' up their sleeve we often say 'I wonder what angle there're coming from'?   And we often accompany this with a 'mm' lips together and slant eyed side head look.

I wonder what he's up too.
Here is another angle used to approximate angles.

                    Scales and Angular Measurement

The apparent sizes of and distances between objects are described with angular measurement. This is important because the objects in the sky are often at greatly differing distances. For example, the Sun is 400 times larger than the moon. It is also 400 times more distant, so it appears to be the same size as the full moon; that is, it has the same angular size.
The system of angular measurement used by astronomers is based on divisions of the circle. The circle is divided into 360 degrees. Degrees are divided into 60 minutes of arc, or arc minutes, and each minute is divided into 60 arc seconds.
The Sun and the moon have angular diameters of about half a degree, as would a 4-inch diameter orange at a distance of 38 feet. People with keen eyesight can distinguish objects that are about an arc minute in diameter, equivalent to distinguishing between two objects the size of a penny at a distance of 70 meters (226 feet). Modern telescopes allow astronomers to routinely distinguish objects one arc second in diameter, and less. Chandra can distinguish objects down to about 0.5 arc seconds in diameter, and the Hubble Space Telescope can distinguish objects as small as 0.1 arc seconds. For comparison, 1 arc second is the apparent size of a penny seen at a distance of 4 km (2.5 miles)!

The accompanying illustration shows how you can use your hand to make rough estimates of angular sizes. At arm’s length, your little finger is about 1 degree across, your fist is about 10 degrees across, etc.
The angular diameter is proportional to the actual diameter divided by its distance. If any two of these quantities are known, the third can be determined.
For example if an object is observed to have an apparent diameter of 1 arc second and is known to be at a distance of 5000 light years, it can be determined that the actual diameter is .02 light years.
Obama: Shut Guantanamo Down!
It speaks for itself

To President Barack Obama:

As citizens from across the world, we urge you to respond urgently to the hunger strikes in Guantanamo. We specifically call on you to appoint a White House official whose responsibility it is to close down the prison, and to use the authority granted to you by the US Congress to immediately transfer the 86 men who have been cleared. This shameful complex is a scourge on humanity, is destroying lives, and fuels hate across our world. Close it down!
It speaks for Itself. .
  • Anyone, regardless of space allowance, can produce their own food. Sprouts are one ideal option. A powerhouse of nutrition, sprouts can contain up to 30 times the nutrition of organic vegetables grown in your own garden, and allow your body to extract more vitamins, minerals, amino acids and essential fats from the foods you eat
  • In areas where the growing season is short, growing seedlings will allow you to harvest your vegetables four to six weeks earlier than had you planted the seeds directly outdoors
  • You can use virtually every square foot of your space, including your lateral space. Hanging baskets are ideal for a wide variety of foods, such as strawberries, leafy greens, runner beans, pea shoots, tomatoes, and a variety of herbs. And instead of flowers, window boxes can hold herbs, greens, radishes, scallions, bush beans, strawberries, chard, and chiles
  • According to a new statement released by the American Heart Association (AHA), having a pet, particularly a dog, may reduce your risk of heart disease
  • People with dogs engaged in more walking and more physical activity, and were 54 percent more likely to get the recommended level of physical activity
  • Pet ownership is probably associated with a reduction in heart disease risk factors and increased survival among patients
  • Pets can have a positive effect on your body’s reaction to stress, including a decrease in heart rate, blood pressure and adrenaline-like hormone release when a pet is present.
Homoeopathy.

Homeopathic flu vaccines are effective, says health regulator

Ten homeopathic flu vaccines have been licensed for use by Canada’s health regulator.  They join a growing list of homeopathic vaccines available to Canadians, including ones to prevent polio, measles and pertussis (whooping cough).  All of the vaccines have passed tests that deem them to be “safe and effective when used according to instructions on the label.”
The latest licences have been granted to a range of homeopathic flu vaccines called Influenzinum, which have been manufactured by various companies, including BJ Pharmaceutical, Boiron and Homeocan.
Health Canada’s decision has triggered protests from the pro-Pharma lobby of sceptics and self-styled ‘quack busters’.  Leading the charge has been Lloyd Oppel, Canada’s leading ‘quack buster’ and chairman of the British Columbia Medical Association’s council on health promotion.  He says: “Although real vaccines use low doses of part of an infectious agent to prevent disease, homeopathic preparations typically are diluted beyond the point where a single molecule remains.”

I use it and have Homoeopathic friend and practitioner. I found it remarkably effective for many symptoms}

Strength Training

  • Exercise is a key factor of optimal health; it's particularly important for controlling your blood sugar and normalizing your insulin levels. When done correctly, exercise can oftentimes act as a substitute for some of the most common drugs used today for things like diabetes, heart disease and depression
  • Compelling and ever-mounting research shows that the ideal form of exercise is short bursts of high intensity exercise
  • Not only does it beat conventional cardio as the most effective and efficient form of exercise, Peak Fitness exercises also provide health benefits you simply cannot get from regular aerobics, such as a tremendous boost in human growth hormone (HGH), aka the “fitness hormone”
  • A recent article by the Human Performance Institute shows how you can fulfill the requirements for a high intensity exercise using nothing more than your own body weight, a chair, and a wall
  • Taking antibiotics may relieve symptoms in up to 40 percent of people with low back pain, according to a new study that found a link between back pain and bacterial infection
  • With antibiotic-resistant diseases already on the rise, and serious side effects linked to unnecessary antibiotic use, using antibiotics for back pain could have serious repercussions
  • Poor posture and/or improper movement is to blame for most cases of back pain
  • One of the best steps you can take to prevent and manage back pain is to address improper posture and sitting, exercise regularly and keep your back and abdominal muscles strong

Angelina Jolie

Did Angelina get the right medical advice?

Everyone admires Angelina Jolie’s courageous decision to have a double mastectomy after her mother had died from breast cancer—but did the doctors give her the best advice?  Although the Hollywood film star inherited the BRCA1 and 2 gene, which apparently doubles her cancer risk, the statistics hide a truth that is not quite so frightening.
Around 85 per cent of women whose BRCA gene is first-degree—in other words, it affects only her mother or sister rather than generations of women in the family—will never develop breast cancer.  Paradoxically, 85 per cent of women who have breast cancer don’t have the genetic malfunction.
Studies have also demonstrated that genes play a secondary role in determining whether or not someone develops breast cancer.  The Women’s Health Initiative (WIH) study discovered that only women who took HRT (hormone replacement therapy), irrespective of their genetic make-up, were more likely to develop breast cancer.
(Sources: The Times, May 19, 2013; Epidemiology, 2009; 20: 752-6).
The fear of cancer is enormous and I deeply appreciate and feel for Miss Jolie. I was diagnosed with cancer and did my own thing, and so far from 1999 so good, a complete absence, also had a scare back in 1989 and did much the same. One in the jaw, and one in the lungs.  I had not heard of Dr Bruce Lipton then, and only heard of him in 2008 and would suggest that one reads his amazing book ' The Biology of Belief' a masterpiece and so relevant for this time.

Once again the duplicity of corruption.
An attack on Science.
  • In the 1930s, farmers rapidly plowed-up the grasslands of the southern Plains and planted wheat in its place
  • With millions of acres of plowed fields and a chronic drought, winds picked up the soil creating thick clouds of dust called “black blizzards,” which covered the region in an unprecedented years-long “storm”
  • The Dust Bowl film chronicles the events of this manmade disaster, including interviews with 26 survivors who describe in vivid detail how the dust-filled winds could easily blister your face and carried with them an indescribable feeling of evil
  • As we once again struggle with droughts and the laws of nature continue to be manipulated by poor farming practices, we could once again be brewing a dust storm of epic proportions … or another manmade ecological disaster that has never before been seen.
The way Monsanto are going and the destruction of nature we will have flood bowls, dust bowls and  killing bowls.
BACTERIA FLY INTO RADIATION STORM: Two days ago, high school students in Bishop, California, using a suborbital helium balloon launched a petri dish full of extreme-loving halobacteria into the strongest radiation storm of the year. They wanted to know how the extremophiles would fare when peppered with protons at the edge of space. Here is a picture of the sample 108,000 feet above Earth's surface:
The radiation storm was sparked by an M5-class solar flare on May 22nd. Students launched their microbes in the immediate aftermath of the flare when the highest energy protons (E > 100 MeV) were peaking in intensity. In addition to solar protons, the bacteria experienced air pressures only 1% that of sea level on the Earth below, temperatures as low as -65 C, and 70 mph winds. A student recovery team collected the payload from a remote desert in Nevada on May 23rd. Now they are culturing the bacteria to see if they survived.
The students, who call themselves Earth to Sky Calculus, have been launching research balloons for more than two years. Their projects include studies of high-altitude biology, measurements of the effects of solar flares on the ozone layer, and stratospheric photography of meteor showers.
How do they afford all this? To fund their activities, they have started a business called "Edge of Space Advertising." For a fee, they'll fly your bannercardcow, running shoespresident or other object to the edge of space and send you the video. Contact Earth to Sky Calculus mentor Dr. Tony Phillips for details.
An idea came to me, send all the destructive CEO's and bankers with Politicians, the elite and so forth in helium balloons, let  them fly low and see the destruction and misery they cause.  You know I bet they rub their grubby hands in glee. They are without human decency and compassion.  When they land take them to a fertile Island and let them dig and build naturally and feed the people somewhere where they have taken away their habitat by oil rigs, forest clearing, fracking and see what its like to be homeless and distressed, desperate and depressed through the lack of basic commodities to sustain life.

Wishing you the good Life, whatever that means to you.
Be Well. Geoff

GCHQ Rears its ugly head again.
"The sort of surveillance the Americans are applying against British citizens is illegal for them to apply against their own citizens; their own constitution stops that happening," he said.
"In the absence of parliamentary knowledge approval by a secretary of state is a process of authorisation, not a process of holding to account. Since nobody knew it was happening at all there is no possibility of complaint," he added.
The Guardian said it had obtained documents showing that GCHQ had access to the Prism system since at least June 2010.
The Prism programme was set up by America's National Security Agency (NSA) as part of its anti-terror measures. Its existence was revealed this week.
According to the newspaper, the documents show that the British agency, based at Cheltenham, had generated 197 intelligence reports through the system in the 12 months to May 2012.
It said the Prism programme appeared to allow GCHQ to circumvent the formal legal process required to obtain personal material, such as emails, photographs and videos, from internet companies based outside the UK.
GCHQ said in a statement that it operated within a "strict legal and policy framework".
"GCHQ takes its obligations under the law very seriously," it added.
'We have never heard of PRISM,' said an Apple spokesman
The lie of the century
Our work is carried out in accordance with a strict legal and policy framework which ensures that our activities are authorised, necessary and proportionate, and that there is rigorous oversight, including from the Secretary of State, the Interception and Intelligence Services Commissioners and the Intelligence and Security Committee."
The existence of the Prism system was disclosed by The Guardian and The Washington Post.
Under the programme, the US government is secretly tapping into the servers of nine internet giants, the reports said. The companies include Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Facebook, PalTalk, AOL, Skype, YouTube and Apple.
President Barack Obama has defended the programme, saying: "Nobody is listening to your telephone calls."
With the new revelations about GCHQ, the row is growing.
"The ISC will be receiving a full report from GCHQ very shortly and will decide what further action needs to be taken as soon as it receives that information," said the committee's chairman Sir Malcolm Rifkind.
International Development Secretary Justine Greening told Sky News: "We have a security service that plays a lead role in keeping our country and people in our country safe.

David Davis has told Sky News that allegations Britain's eavesdropping centre secretly gathered intelligence through a controversial US spying agency are "quite extraordinary".
GCHQ is to give a report to parliament's Intelligence and Security Committee (ISC) "very soon" over links with the US Prism surveillance system and claims it has been accessing information about British citizens through the body.
The big question is whether this was authorised by the Government.
Mr Davis, a former shadow home secretary, said he suspected Home Secretary Theresa May and Foreign Secretary William Hague previously knew about the Prism.
"Presumably they at least would have had to sign an authorisation for this to take place.
"(There were) nearly 200 British citizens under surveillance of one sort or other in one year so they must have known something about it."
The Tory MP told Sky News the monitoring programme appeared to allow the state to "spy on who they like" and if reports were accurate then "it is actually quite a scandal"

GCHQ
The spying row is growing after the existence of Prism was revealed

"Clearly some questions have been raised about how those operations take place. We have a process for looking at that. The intelligence and Security Committee will be getting its report so that it can start to form its own views on this, on behalf of parliament."
Liberal Democrat Julian Huppert, a member of the Commons Home Affairs Committee, said he hoped to force the Government to respond to an urgent question on the issue in Parliament on Monday.
"We have to understand exactly what information they have had and what the safeguards are. It's deeply, deeply alarming," he said.
Nick Pickles of the civil liberties campaign group Big Brother Watch said questions needed to be asked at the "highest levels" to establish whether British citizens had had their privacy breached "without adherence to the proper legal process or any suspicion of wrongdoing".
"There are legal processes to request information about British citizens using American services and if they are being circumvented by using these NSA spying arrangements then that would be a very serious issue," he said.
You may remember I have warned people  many, many times, that although pledges are given and assurances that that a judge or permission is needed to access any information a corrupt or over jealous officer or 'boss' can overlook or override and regulations if they so wish.
After all we have no way of knowing what they are doing or if they rig votes.
BY they way the New Moon Bilderberg fiasco in Watford see Post 48/49 and the Hyde Park meeting with Bill Vaccine Gates, started on 6 -06-213, 666, the so called antinomian left hand path, the mark of the beast.  Many young protectors and myself have felt a stench and sickness when the near proximity and even where I am at the meeting of the bugs.
Antinomianism in Christianity is the belief that under the gospel dispensation of gracemoral law is not binding on Christians because faithalone is sufficient for salvation.[1] Antinomianism and the Protestant doctrine of sola fide (justification through faith alone) are historically related. Commonly seen as the theological opposite to antinomianism is the notion that obedience to a code of religious law earns salvation, such as Legalism or Works righteousness or Judaizing.

The term "antinomianism" emerged soon after the Protestant Reformation (c.1517) and has historically been used mainly as a pejorativeagainst Christian thinkers or sects who carried their belief in justification by faith further than was customary.[2] Examples are Martin Luther's critique of antinomianism and the Antinomian Controversy of the 17th century Massachusetts Bay Colony. Although the term is 16th century, the topic has its roots in Christian views on the old covenant extending back to the 1st century. It can also be extended to any individual who rejects a socially established morality.[1] However, few groups, outside of anarchism such as Christian anarchism or Jewish anarchism, explicitly call themselves "antinomian".
When in forensics many  a time the 'left hand path' was used as an excuse to justify a heinous crime.  Killing, sacrifice in the name of one's deity can be seen by the perpetrators as justification for the cause, the word, the holy book, the cult, the culture, the relationship, the political agenda.  If you want to you can justify any action with a seemingly plausible explanation.
Dictionary explanation sums it up well:
relating to the doctrine that by faith and the dispensation of grace a Christian is released from the obligation of adhering to any moral law {this applies to any religion, sect, political movement} the list is endless.
Here is an example:

Thuggee (Hindiठग्गी or hagīUrdu: ٹھگ‎; SanskritsthagaSindhiٺوڳي، ٺڳKannada"thakka"), also known as tuggee refers to the acts of thugs, an organized gang of professional assassins.
The thugs traveled in groups across India for several hundred years. They were devoted to Kali, a Hindu goddess associated with violence, sexuality, and more recently, empowerment.[1]
They were first mentioned in the Ẓiyāʾ-ud-Dīn Baranī (English: History of Fīrūz Shāh) dated around 1356.[2]
In the 1830s they were targeted by William Bentinck, along with his chief captain William Henry Sleeman, for eradication. They were seemingly destroyed by this effort.[1][3] According to some estimates the Thugs murdered 1 million people between 1740 and 1840.[4]
The Thugs would join travellers and gain their confidence. This would allow them to then surprise and strangle their victims by tossing a handkerchief or noose around their necks. The killings were performed in honour of the Hindu goddess Kali and were very ritualistic.[1] They would then rob their victims of valuables and bury their bodies. This led them to also be called Phansigar(English: using a noose), a term more commonly used in southern India.[5]
The term Thuggee is derived from Hindi word ठग, or ṭhag, which means thief. Related words are the verb thugna, to deceive, fromSanskrit स्थग sthaga meaning cunning, sly, fraudulent, dishonest, scoundrel, from स्थगति sthagati (English: he conceals).[6] This term for a particular kind of murder and robbery of travellers is popular in South Asia and particularly in India.
The story of Thuggee was popularised by books such as Philip Meadows Taylor's novel Confessions of a Thug, 1839, leading to the word "thug" entering the English language.
