POST 93

Hey there and good tidings to you.  When I looked at the calves in this video below, something sinister and a bad, bad smell arose. These vulnerable calves torn form their mothers, reminded me of the pain I felt when that little Palestinian lad had his Dad taken off by the Israeli soldiers, when he was looking for water which the Israeli's had cut off.
Horrible treatment of calves and other live animals in transit.

Dear Thrive Movement,
Good news!
People all over the world are standing up to GMO corporations that threaten our health, the environment, and evolution.
Here's our new article where you can learn more about the lawsuits, labeling bills, citizen revolts, and more.
Spread the news and thanks for all of your efforts toward a thriving world.
Sincerely,
Foster, Kimberly and the THRIVE Team
It was the hottest week of the year. All Fadel Jaber wanted was some water for his family. But Fadel lives in the occupied West Bank, where the Israeli government has redirected water pipes to provide swimming pools for Jewish settlers and empty faucets for Palestinians like Fadel.
When the Israeli forces dragged Fadel off for taking water, his heartbroken five-year-old son Khaled could be heard screaming “baba, baba!” as his dad was torn away. This is daily life for Palestinians living under the brutal fist of martial law where their land and water has been stolen by settlers and they have no basic human rights. But after years of violence and hopelessness, a movement is growing in Palestine -- a nonviolent resistance seeking the same thing that all Israelis already have: freedom, dignity and a state of their own.
For years, the media has focused on Palestinian militants, and to this day, extremists on both sides are pushing peace further out of reach. But what’s lost in all that vitriol are the loving families like Fadel’s that just want a normal life. Now, those families are stepping forward, leading peaceful marches, organizing sit-ins, and working with Israeli activists to seek justice and freedom. In response, the Israeli military has thrown them in jail, beaten up organisers, and ripped children from their beds.
Days ago, I went to the West Bank to meet with these brave, peaceful people. When I proposed that our community could come to their aid, their eyes lit up. They need funds for lawyers when they are jailed on spurious charges, cameras to document abuses, training in media skills and nonviolent tactics, and campaigners to take this local protest global. These families are the real hope.  {I make no apologies for posting this again---young children, young calves}
SPACE CHASE: On August 3rd, Japan launched a robotic spacecraft, the HTV-4, to re-supply the International Space Station (ISS). Last night, Larry Sloss saw the HTV-4 in hot pursuit of the ISS in the twilight skies over Priest Lake, Idaho:
"The HTV-4 was trailing the ISS by just 3 seconds," says Sloss.
Many observers noted "HTV-4 flares" this week. Apparently sunlight is glinting off a flat surface of the spacecraft, briefly raising its luminosity to match that of the much larger ISS. Sloss saw one too: "In the image, a brief, bright flare from the HTV-4 is slightly offset from the ISS trail."
HTV-4 has an interesting payload. Among the 5.4 tons of food, spare parts, and other supplies are Kirobo, a talking robot to join the crew of the ISS, and Firestation, an experiment to study mysterious Terrestrial Gamma-ray Flashes. Docking is scheduled at approximately 4:30 AM EDT on Friday August 9th. [Thank you Larry Sloss}

'Generous' tax breaks for shale gas industry outlined

The UK is believed to have large resources of shale gas that have yet to be extracted
The government has outlined plans to give tax breaks to companies involved in the UK's nascent shale gas industry.
It has proposed cutting the tax on some of the income generated from producing shale gas - found in underground shale rock formations - from 62% to just 30%.
The plans would make the UK the "most generous" regime for shale gas in the world, the government said.
But they have been criticised by environmentalists, with Friends of the Earth calling them a "disgrace".
Greenpeace added that communities affected by fracking - the technique for extracting shale gas - faced a lot of disruption for very little gain.
Chancellor George Osborne says Britain must be" at the forefront of the shale gas revolution"
Chancellor George Osborne said shale gas was a resource with "huge potential" for the UK's energy mix.
"We want to create the right conditions for industry to explore and unlock that potential in a way that allows communities to share in the benefits," he said.
"I want Britain to be a leader of the shale gas revolution because it has the potential to create thousands of jobs and keep energy bills low for millions of people."
The shale gas firm Cuadrilla welcomed the news and said it would consider the implications.
"Whilst we are still in the exploration phase, we believe that shale gas has the potential to make a considerable contribution to the UK's energy supply and security, while at the same time creating thousands of jobs and generating very significant tax revenues and community benefits," said Cuadrilla's chief executive, Francis Egan.
The UK is believed to have large resources of shale gas.
A recent report from the British Geological Survey estimated there may be 1,300 trillion cubic feet of shale gas present in the north of England alone - much of it in the Bowland Basin under Lancashire.

Analysis

Just how generous are these tax breaks?
Gas production is typically taxed at 62% although in some parts of the north sea long standing operations are taxed at up to 81%.
So the 30% tax rate proposed for shale gas does look generous.
The government insists it is in line with what already exists for small or challenging fields offshore.
What's more it won't be for the lifetime of the well.
In practice part of the profits from the well will be exempt from the higher tax rate. Just how much is still to be decided, but it will be linked to the amount of investment that a firm has made.
The industry insists the tax break is necessary as initial costs will be high and there is still much uncertainty about how much oil and gas will be liberated from our shale deposits.
But with up to 50 wells expected to be drilled in the next 2 to 3 years - the hope from the government is that this tax announcement will help to kick-start what could be a hugely important new industry.
Drilling companies have previously estimated that they may be able to extract about 10% of this gas - far in excess of the three trillion cubic feet of gas currently consumed in the UK each year.
However, the industry is still in its infancy with a handful of companies holding licences for shale gas exploration in the UK, none of which have begun extracting gas.
Water quality
In backing shale gas exploration, the government points to the experience of the US, where a shale gas boom has had a dramatic effect on the energy sector.
Under its plans, the tax break would apply to a proportion of the income generated from shale gas production. What that proportion is will be determined after a consultation.
BBC industry correspondent John Moylan says the industry regards the tax incentives as necessary, as costs are likely to be high during the initial exploration phase over the coming years.
The government has also confirmed plans to give communities that host shale gas sites £100,000 per site, and up to 1% of all revenues from production.
That is designed to offset some of the controversy surrounding the process of fracking.

Science Editor David Shukman explains the process of fracking
There are concerns the process, which involves pumping high pressure water, sand and chemicals into rock to force out the gas, is related to water contamination and even earth tremors.

Promising tax hand-outs to polluting energy firms that threaten our communities and environment, when everyone else is being told to tighten their belts, is a disgrace”
Andrew PendletonFriends of the Earth
Water companies have warned that the quality of drinking water must be protected "at all costs".
Water UK, which represents the UK water companies, points out that fracking requires huge amounts of water which could put a strain on local supplies.
It also says the drilling and the fracturing process could damage water pipes.
"The water industry is not taking sides. If it (fracking) goes ahead we want to ensure corners are not cut and standards compromised," said Jim Marshall, policy and business adviser at Water UK.
Environmental groups argue that investment in the industry will divert attention from the need to develop renewable sources of energy.
Andrew Pendleton, from Friends of the Earth, condemned the move.
"Promising tax hand-outs to polluting energy firms that threaten our communities and environment, when everyone else is being told to tighten their belts, is a disgrace," he said.
"Ministers should be encouraging investors to develop the nation's huge renewable energy potential. This would create tens of thousands of jobs and wean the nation off its increasingly expensive fossil fuel dependency."

Nearly 1,700 young girls in the US have died or suffered permanent disability after being given the HPV vaccine, new official figures reveal. The vaccine, which is designed to prevent cervical cancer, was introduced into the UK last autumn.
A further 19,500 girls have suffered ‘non-serious’ reactions to the vaccine, which has been given to adolescent girls in the US since 2006. The 1,671 girls who suffered a ‘serious reaction’ died, suffered permanent disability, a life-threatening illness or needed emergency hospital care.
Astonishingly, US health regulators say there are “no serious safety concerns” over the HPV vaccine. Instead, their concerns focus on the low uptake of the vaccine. Only around 33 per cent of the target population of girls aged between 11 and 12 years have had all three doses of the vaccine, and they urge doctors to offer the vaccine at every possible “healthcare encounter”.

Breastfeeding is good for baby and its developing brain. It encourages better development in vital areas that govern cognitive abilities and in ‘white matter’, which determines how quickly electrical signals zip around the brain.
Children who are exclusively breastfed for at least three months seem to have brains that are developing better, say researchers who examined the brains of 133 children aged from 10 months to four years with an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) machine.
The breastfed babies showed greater development even than those whose breastfeeding was supplemented with formula. Overall, they had around 30 per cent greater white matter growth than babies who were partially breastfed or were fed only with formula. The difference was also apparent in simple tests. The breastfed children also demonstrated better language, visual and motor control skills.

Joint letter to NASA Administrator blasts agency’s policy of ignoring empirical evidence
HOUSTON, TXApril 10, 2012.
49 former NASA scientists and astronauts sent a letter to NASA Administrator Charles Bolden last week admonishing the agency for it’s role in advocating a high degree of certainty that man-made CO2 is a major cause of climate change while neglecting empirical evidence that calls the theory into question.
The group, which includes seven Apollo astronauts and two former directors of NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, are dismayed over the failure of NASA, and specifically the Goddard Institute For Space Studies (GISS), to make an objective assessment of all available scientific data on climate change. They charge that NASA is relying too heavily on complex climate models that have proven scientifically inadequate in predicting climate only one or two decades in advance.
H. Leighton Steward, chairman of the non-profit Plants Need CO2, noted that many of the former NASA scientists harbored doubts about the significance of the C02-climate change theory and have concerns over NASA’s advocacy on the issue. While making presentations in late 2011 to many of the signatories of the letter, Steward realized that the NASA scientists should make their concerns known to NASA and the GISS.
“These American heroes – the astronauts that took to space and the scientists and engineers that put them there – are simply stating their concern over NASA’s extreme advocacy for an unproven theory,” said Leighton Steward. “There’s a concern that if it turns out that CO2 is not a major cause of climate change, NASA will have put the reputation of NASA, NASA’s current and former employees, and even the very reputation of science itself at risk of public ridicule and distrust.”
Select excerpts from the letter:
·                     “The unbridled advocacy of CO2 being the major cause of climate change is unbecoming of NASA’s history of making an objective assessment of all available scientific data prior to making decisions or public statements.”
·                     “We believe the claims by NASA and GISS, that man-made carbon dioxide is having a catastrophic impact on global climate change are not substantiated.”
·                     “We request that NASA refrain from including unproven and unsupported remarks in its future releases and websites on this subject.”
The full text of the letter:
March 28, 2012
The Honorable Charles Bolden, Jr.
NASA Administrator
NASA Headquarters
Washington, D.C. 20546-0001
Dear Charlie,
We, the undersigned, respectfully request that NASA and the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) refrain from including unproven remarks in public releases and websites. We believe the claims by NASA and GISS, that man-made carbon dioxide is having a catastrophic impact on global climate change are not substantiated, especially when considering thousands of years of empirical data. With hundreds of well-known climate scientists and tens of thousands of other scientists publicly declaring their disbelief in the catastrophic forecasts, coming particularly from the GISS leadership, it is clear that the science is NOT settled.
The unbridled advocacy of CO2 being the major cause of climate change is unbecoming of NASA’s history of making an objective assessment of all available scientific data prior to making decisions or public statements.
As former NASA employees, we feel that NASA’s advocacy of an extreme position, prior to a thorough study of the possible overwhelming impact of natural climate drivers is inappropriate. We request that NASA refrain from including unproven and unsupported remarks in its future releases and websites on this subject. At risk is damage to the exemplary reputation of NASA, NASA’s current or former scientists and employees, and even the reputation of science itself.
For additional information regarding the science behind our concern, we recommend that you contact Harrison Schmitt or Walter Cunningham, or others they can recommend to you.
Thank you for considering this request.
Sincerely,
(Attached signatures)

Astrology Update: The Cardinal Cross and the Emerging Energy of Balance

Some people put great store in these astrological predictions and line ups.  My research has shown that certain resonances between these line ups shown great increases in energetic influence. Albeit the effect and affect are in my view commensurate with the programming it is filtered through. (see www.energygrid.com.  January 13 blogs by myself.).

The heavens are always shifting and changing, just as life on Earth is. Last month’s Grand Sextile (July 29) has dissolved and a new, stunning energy pattern is emerging.
Between August 23-27, a Grand Cross will form in the Cardinal signs in our skies: Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. As Venus comes around, it transforms the on-going T-square, which was a dramatic trickster during the time of the recent Grand Sextile, bringing dynamism and balancing energy from the Pluto-Uranus square and Jupiter.  More info below in link.

This interview was recorded live
in Holland in the 1970s, and as a
result of it being broadcast, 100,000

In Dr. Dean Burk's own words; "This

Add this to fluoride ---what chance do kids have?
  • 1 in 10 American children now has attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)—a 22 percent increase from 2003. About two-thirds of the children diagnosed with ADHD are on some form of prescription medication
  • Side effects of commonly prescribed ADHD drugs include brain and liver damage, cardio toxicity, changes in personality, depression, hallucinations, suicide, heart attack and stroke
  • According to recently released data, ADHD drugs were responsible for nearly 23,000 emergency room visits in 2011—a more than 400% increase in ER visits due to adverse reactions to such drugs in a mere six years
  • Avoiding grains (even “healthy” whole and sprouted grains) and sugar is a key strategy to reducing and eliminating ADHD symptoms naturally. Optimizing your gut health and omega-3 to omega-6 ratio are also key nutritional strategies

Next week, MPs will vote on new government plans to gag charities and campaigners for a year before elections. If it goes through, from next May 38 Degrees and a whole host of other organisations will be banned from holding politicians and political parties to account like we do now.
Can you take 2 minutes now to email your MP and ask them to stand up for democracy and speak out against these plans
This could mean if they build in enough gobbledegook that blogging would become illegal. They must shit scared.  What about transparency and the right to free speech. That’s right, chemicalise us, frack us.  What’s the difference between Saddam Hussein and Cameron, they wear different clothes, live in different countries, and one is a more benign dictator than the other. Did you know Britain has a stealth bomber? Yes it brings in draconian laws by stealth, confidence tricking and downright secretive and eventually punitive measures. They know a mass uprising is imminent and so the right to protest, gag is the answer, the right to march, gas them, the right to, what right?

  1. Endocrine-disrupting environmental chemicals also affects testosterone according to health experts. I think these chemicals are really harmful and should be avoided.
